The City of Amsterdam would like all of its citizen to participate in society; as a volunteer or in a job. The Pulse program -which started in 2015- activates citizens with a large distance to the labour market. In a one-day workshop, more than 60 policy advisors and activation employees reflect on the results of the programme to date.
Aim: Discovering what successful methods can be implemented citywide and gathering input for the next phase.
Self-reflective and collaborative learning
Perspectivity designs and facilitates the workshop that focuses on self-reflection and learning from each other. We begin with a ‘city tour’, to make everyone aware of the situation, activities and achievements in each of the seven city districts. Then we look back on individual successes and the driving forces behind it through appreciative interviews. In the afternoon the group looks ahead. In a World Café we investigate what should be retained citywide, what no longer needs to be done and things that are unique for each district.
The program of the day not only provides valuable insights, but also fosters new connections between employees and generates enthusiastic energy. The harvest provides input for the new implementation plan.
