In 2011 Monique Janmaat organised and facilitated a Performance Management training and workshop for the Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) and its partners in Ethiopia. FZS works for a world in which biodiversity values are recognized and maintained to ensure a high quality of life for current and future generations.
The purpose of the training was to understand the concept of performance management and to develop part of a performance management system for the participating organisations. Participants reviewed current practices and tools and adapted them, making them more user friendly. Practicing crucial skills like questioning, listening and feedback were included in the training.
The training took three days and the workshop that followed two days. As a result, FZS management developed a concept and tools for their performance management system.
