CLIENT:
CBI – Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands
Question:
How do we create innovative conditions for a strong and inclusive workforce for SMEs in the Egyptian ITO sector to compete effectively in the international markets?
Process:
- A participatory online roundtable.
- The design is inspired by Future Search methodology
Results:
- Mapped six shared ambitions
- Formed new coalitions
On the 6th and 7th of April 2021, around 45 representatives of 8 key stakeholders groups in the IT sector in Egypt gathered around a participatory online roundtable to shape together the future of the Egyptian IT Outsourcing workforce.
During those two days, the different stakeholders worked collectively to discover what is needed to develop a strong and balanced workforce for SMEs in the Egyptian IT outsourcing (ITO) sector to export their services to the EU market.
This roundtable is the first of a series of roundtable discussions tackling the IT sector issues. It is part of a partnership between CBI Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands, itida, EiTESAL, Chamber of information Technology and Telecommunication and Nile University to deliver a 4 years programme aiming at contributing to a sustainable and inclusive ITO sector in Egypt and a decent growth by adopting a systemic approach.
