I am an Industrial Design Engineer MSc graduated from the Delft University of Technology, specializing as a user-centered/user experience designer, and also the founder of social start-up Luuno.

I prefer to work with an iterative process and always with the stakeholders, especially the end user, as the main focus. I value clear communication and like to work structured and solution-oriented. I enjoy teaching, helping others and seeing (my) teams flourish through the combination of their specialties and differences.

Toolbelt

In my work, I do a lot of research into the needs and wishes of all stakeholders. This is usually achieved by working with usability and user experience research, and through co-creation and creative facilitation. I believe that we need to understand all the stakeholders’ perspectives, experiences, motivation, behavior, and the impact products have on people’s lives. Only then can you design a product or service that people actually want to use and have impact. The same goes for facilitating, where a better understanding helps you guide the conversation to better results. To support my designing, researching and facilitating, I have developed drawing, illustrating, photography and 3D CAD modeling skills.

Social Startup Luuno

With Luuno, I am developing physiotherapeutic robotic toys for young children with cancer, children with disabilities and chronic diseases. These children are struggling and in and out of the hospital. I believe that all children should have the opportunity to play freely and move freely. Luuno supports these children by stimulating active free play, to keep them as strong as possible during treatment, and/or help them during rehabilitation. In collaboration with pediatric physiotherapists, we have hidden healthy exercises in our toys, so these children can play freely. With Luuno I want to create moments where these children can be children again and feel less like a patient.

All in all, I believe my design thinking and facilitation can provide new and/or different perspectives and support you in navigating your complexity.

Transformative Futures for Water Security initiative

Water security is key to our collective future, yet many places in the world experience severe water insecurity. We have to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all (SDG 6). Perspectivity facilitated this initiative for the Global South on the future of water security in the lead-up to the UN 2023 Water Conference.
