We are almost halfway through the National Citizens’ Assembly on Climate, where 175 people selected by lottery from across the country, gather together for six weekends to work towards developing advice for the cabinet. We, as a small reflection of the Netherlands, got to know each other and explored the climate question together. To do so, we also went out into the country and gained practical knowledge and insights from 27 different organisations. Last weekend, we welcomed more than 50 experts, who engaged in conversation with the Citizens’ Assembly.
We are deeply impressed by the courage and willpower of the people of the Citizens’ Assembly-how committed they are to this wonderful piece of democracy. It is inspiring to see how committed and determined they are working together for a shared future.

Proud and happy that we as Perspectivity can offer our contribution to Citizens’ Assembly with 5 colleagues, Petra de Boer, Han Rakels, Monique Janmaat, Chiwei Luu and Anna Betsy Kanneworff. We are a part of the team of dialogue leaders who facilitate the connection, dialogue and process.
On to the next gathering in April!
Curious about more?
We will soon present a published essay: Perspectivity’s reflections on Citizens’ Assemblies. Look forward to that!
