Last week the first module of the Perspectivity leadership training was conducted for managers from the Tanzanian Wildlife Division, Tanzanian National Park Authorities and Frankfurt Zoological Society. In order to preserve the beauty of Serengeti in a sustainable manner, these organisations face daily challenges: poaching, land claims of pastoralists and community, tourist and hunting companies who all have their interests. During the training participants got insight in the complexity of the environment and how to approach this in a positive manner. they worked on self expression through exploring their passion, qualities, and behaviour in complex situations. at the same time appreciative understanding was created as they progressed during the three days. at the end of the three days, a foundation was laid for a stronger collaboration between the three organisations and excitement about the opportunities to take the lead. Module two is planned to take place in May 2013.
